My favourite spot
2009-07-20
You wont see any EXIF data for this shot as it was taken a few years back with a Mamiya RB67 and Velvia 50. I did however take some shots with my 300D back then too - and when you put the two side by side there is absolutely no comparison for the winner. I still don't believe (despite my heavy use of digital equipment), that nearly all digital cameras can compare to Velvia for colour saturation and clarity - the transparency for this shot is just wonderful.
Anyway - this was taken at Loch Na h-Achlaise on Rannoch Moor in Scotland. Its a very popular and familiar scene to many photographers, and this was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful times I have ever seen it. This tied with the picturesque evening before - and I was torn between which one to post. I may post the other one tomorrow.
I've uploaded this today for this weeks
PhotoFriday Challenge.
